Louisiana duck calls

Welcome to the DCO's Louisiana duck call exhibit. We invite you to travel through Louisiana's rich call making history and view some of Louisiana's best duck call makers - past and present. Located within, you can see past works of "old guides" from the Gueydan area such as Henry Braus, Alton Broussard and Otto Abshire. The works of past greats from the Lake Charles area, Clarence 'Patin' Faulk and Noah Schexnider are also represented. Works of contemporary callmakers like Bignar, Blasingame, Breland, Crooks, Duplantis, Elliott, Mills, Thibodeaux and Yule are sampled below.

Louisiana Callmakers and Collectors Association (LCCA) was established in 2008, as a non-profit organization, to preserve the rich heritage of Louisiana call making. Tommy Whittington, call collector, founder and current secretary of LCCA, invites you to visit their website, www.lacalls.org, where you can view web pages of various Louisiana call makers and see examples of their fine work.
